The 5th International Conference on Advanced Materials and Processing (ICAMP-5) will be held on September 2-5, 2008, in Harbin, China and hosted by Harbin Institute of Technology. This conference is a continuation of the previous four, which were held in Rotorua, New Zealand (2000), Singapore (2002), Melbourne, Australia (2004), and Hamilton, New Zealand (2006), respectively.
         The objective of this conference is to provide an international forum to present and discuss recent progress in both fundamentals and applications of advanced materials and processing technologies.
         The scientific program will consist of oral presentations (plenary, invited and regular talks) and poster contributions.
